KATHMANDU, March 14: The political parties, who have been longing for the consensus-based constitution since the last CA election, are once again seen on the horns of a dilemma with the dialogue not gaining momentum.

Speaking at a program held at Reporter's Club Nepal, Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ramesh Lekhak blamed the opposition of fearing for both the referendum as well as two-third majority for a new constitution.

Lekhak said, "opposition alliance is neither accepting the majoritarian course nor is ready for referendum. The opposition has been intentionally creating hurdles to linger the constitution writing process."

Likewise, speaking at the program UCPN-Maoist leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi expressed that the upcoming protest to-be- announced by his alliance will be sterner one if ruling parties keep on ignoring their voice.

Rayamajhi said, "in order to restore the past achievements the protest has become the timely need for our alliance. Bothe the dialogue and protest will go hand-in-hand to exert on the ruling parties so that they will come forward to own the past agreements reached among the parties for a new statute.
