Consensus govt after Nov 23: Pokhrel

DADELDHURA Nov 9: Secretary of the CPN-UML and former minister for information and communications Shankar Pokhrel has said a national consensus government will be formed after November 23.



Secretary Pokhrel who arrived here to inaugurate the first district council gathering of the CPN-UML said at a press meet organized by the Press Chautari Dadeldhura that the term of the present government is until November 23.[break]



There will be no national consensus on the present government, he said, adding the spirit of the seven-point deal is also to make another consensus government.



If works go as planned on peace and constitution until November 23, such a government can be formed, otherwise, we have to move ahead in a new way, said Pokhrel.



Pokhrel also made it clear that the UML will not claim for leadership of the next government.



On the expansion of cabinet, he said it is against the seven-point deal and irrelevant.
