Conman, who duped 50-year-old, is at large

BHAKTAPUR, Jan 16: A man who cheated one million rupees in the pretext of exchanging US dollars is on the run from Gelal Gaon, Changunarayan Municipality-5 in Bhaktapur.

BHAKTAPUR, Jan 16: A man who cheated one million rupees in the pretext of exchanging US dollars is on the run from Gelal Gaon, Changunarayan Municipality-5 in Bhaktapur.

Police said the fraud cheated 50-year-old Meghnath Dahal of Siddhi Charan Municipality -1, Okhaldhunga of the amount, taking him to a secluded place at Gelal Gaon. Dahal is currently living in Pepsicola of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-35. 


The person is learnt to have given 10 thousand fake US dollars to Dahal in exchange of one million rupees. The Police Inspector at Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur, Dil Bahadur Subedi said the fraudster's name and address was not known but he had mongoloid face, as told by Dahal. RSS
