Congress committed to implement constitution: Minister Lekhak

ITAHARI, Sept 11: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak has said that the Nepali Congress was working hard for the implementation of the new constitution.

ITAHARI, Sept 11: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak has said that the Nepali Congress was working hard for the implementation of the new constitution. 




Addressing a gathering of leaders and cadres of the party here today, Minister Lekhak, a central member of the NC, said it was under NC's leadership that the statute was promulgated; hence the party has been doing to best to put it into practice.

Elections of all three levels of government—federal, provincial and local must be held for full implementation of the constitution, he said. He also said that amendments as per the need of the time to the constitution was inevitable, but it difficult to make everyone happy over it. 




On the occasion, NC Sunsari Chair Rajiv Koirala stressed that the NC must come ahead with a clear view and decision in regards to the work of the local tier restructuring commission. RSS
