Complainants absent at parliamentary hearing

KATHMANDU, April 5: Those who registered complaints against two ambassadorial candidates didn’t turn up at the parliamentary hearing committee, according to our correspondent Yuvraj Acharya. [break]



Although the hearing committee had received complaints from Ram Dayal Rakesh and Amar Yadav against Ramsart Raya and Sukhdev Shah — ambassadorial candidates for the UK and the US, both Rakesh and Yadav were absent stating that they had not registered the complaints.



Yadav told the hearing committee on the phone that he had discussed Shah´s nomination with the foreign minister but had not filed any complaint.



Similarly, the prime minister’s foreign affairs advisor Hira Bahadur Thapa, who had registered complaint against ambassadorial candidate for Germany Suresh Pradhan, has not yet arrived during the hearing.
