Organizing a press conference on Saturday, the Committee informed that Kumar Kanchha was born in Dailekh and has substantial contribution to Nepali music horizon.
Kumar is being treated in Raija Hospital in Mumbai after lower part of his body did not move due to problem in spinal curd.
In course of the treatment, singer Kumar has spent entire property he earned from the music field and also the loan he took putting his home as collateral.
The Committee formed in Nepal has started collecting assistance by opening an account in the Nepal Investment Bank, said Kumar´s aide Deep Tuladhar.
Assistance could be sent to 5001 by typing ´help´ through mobile SMS keeping in mind the convenience of general public, he added.
While sending SMS, Rs. 1.37 will be collected in the account opened for the assistance of Kumar Kanchha.
Kumar Kanchha has so far given voice in more than 2,000 lyrics in Nepal.
