Commitment for timely constitution needed: Gachchhadar

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar has said there should be commitment in practice for timely promulgation of the constitution by taking peace process to logical end.



DPM Gachchhadar was speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the International Day of Peace -2068 BS with the slogan ‘peace and constitution our campaign’.[break]



He said the works on returning houses and land had moved ahead and if any problem emerges, it will be resolved by forming a commission.



Former Speaker Daman Nath Dhungana called for cooperation to the Dr. Baburam Bhattarai led government by transforming it as a national consensus government.



He said it was ridiculous not to complete army integration even in nearly six years as it had to be completed in six months of the peace accord.



Peace Ministry Secretary Dhruba Prasad Gautam said Rs. 6.3 billion had been spent in reconstruction of the physical infrastructure.



At the program, DPM Gachchhadar handed over best employee certificate to officer Sharada Devi Shrestha and appreciation letter to Nawin Jangali who designed the ministry’s logo.
