Comedian 'Lajalam' no more

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepali actor/comedian Rudra Prasad Bhattarai, best known as Lajalam, passed away on Thursday night at his residence in Biratnagar.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepali actor/comedian Rudra Prasad Bhattarai, best known as Lajalam, passed away on Thursday night at his residence in Biratnagar.


A high pressure and diabetes patient Bhattarai died at the age of 45.

He had retired to bed after dinner. “When he did not wake up till late in the morning, we opened the door but sadly he was no more,” said actor/comedian Deepa Shree Niraula. 


He is survived by two sons and a wife. He had acted in TV serial Tito Satya including films Wada No 6 and Chakka Panja. He had lent his voice to some songs as well.
