Combatants deployed for Baidya's security returning to cantonments

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: A day ahead of prime ministerial election in parliament, UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya is set to return combatants providing security to him and the leaders close to him to their respective cantonments Saturday at noon.



The former Maoist-fighters will be sent to their respective cantonments after a farewell program to be organized at his residence in Balaju. “We are will be bidden farewell at a formal program at 12 pm today,” said Keshav Subedi who has been deployed for Baidya’s security. [break]



The combatants deployed for security of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and another Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai and the leaders close to them have already returned to their cantonments.



Baidya has decided to return the combatants to their cantonments amid clamors for ending dual security system to Maoist leaders that could have some bearings on the party´s prime ministerial bid to lead the new government.
