KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Ashok Raj Sigdel has conducted an on-site inspection of the flood-affected Trishuli area and reviewed ongoing search and rescue operations.
Sigdel visited tunnels where search and rescue operations are underway as well as other affected areas. During the inspection, he was briefed on the progress of the rescue efforts, the security situation and the challenges encountered during the operations.

He directed all concerned agencies to strengthen coordination and cooperation to make the search and rescue operations more effective.
He also instructed authorities to continue rescue operations in the affected areas as a priority and ensure the effective mobilization of available resources.
