CoAS hands over relief to soldier's family

PANAUTI, July 19: Chief of Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal handed over Rs 485,000 to the family of army man Dinesh Shrestha who died while trying to rescue a child from a well at Dalko in Kathmandu a few days ago.



"He is a real martyr," Katawal said on his visit to Shrestha´s house at Chaukot, Panauti, on Sunday morning on the 13th day of his death.



The relied handed by Katawal includes Rs 310,000 from the army, Rs 150,000 from the Mahabir Ranger Brigade and Rs 25,000 from Katawal himself.
