According to Mishra, his resignation will come into effect from November 17.

The club´s secretary Hemanta Subba confirmed that they have received the resignation letter on Wednesday. "We have received the resignation letter today (on Wednesday) and we will discuss about it and take a decision within the week," said Subba.

"There is a new management in the club and I could not set a well-functioning rapport with them. Therefore, I decided to quit before letting matters took a turn for the worse," said Mishra.

"I will be busy tending familial obligations at least for next few months. I may think of coaching after that," added Mishra.

Friends Club concluded the last season of Martyrs Memorial A-division Football League in the eighth position under Mishra´s coaching while they crashed out of the first round in the recently concluded Tilottama Gold Cup.

"We were doing well in the first leg of the league last season but suffered from a match-fixing row, which shattered me and my boys," said Mishra.

"Probably I was not lucky." He claimed that Friends´ dramatic loss against New Road Team (NRT) in the last match of the first leg in the last season´s league was a match fixed by his then goalkeeper Rupak Shrestha.

Mishra had submitted his resignation letter to the club authority immediately following the incident but then club authority has refused to accept it.
