JANAKPURDHAM, Feb 17: Three individuals sustained minor injuries in a confrontation that unfolded between two communities in Mahottari. The incident occurred during a Kalash Yatra of the Mahabir flag in Samsi Rural Municipality-2 Parsa of Mahottari.

The Kalash Yatra commenced from Samsi Rural Municipality-1 and escalated into a clash near the Noori Mosque in Ward-2. The District Police Office Mahottari reported that in an attempt to control the situation, the police fired four rounds of aerial shots.

The Muslim community asserts that stones were thrown at the mosque during the Kalsha Yatra organized by the Hindu community. Contrarily, the organizers of the Kalash Yatra deny these allegations, insisting that no stones were aimed at the mosque.
