KATHMANDU, May 27: Hearing on 19 writ petitions, which were filed against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) at the Supreme Court (SC) on May 22, is scheduled to begin Thursday afternoon.
A single bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR will conduct the hearing on the 19 writ petitions that demand an interim order to restore the lower house of parliament.

The SC has scheduled the cause list of 11 other writ petitions for Friday. The hearing over those petitions will be conducted at the Constitutional Bench.
As many as 30 writ petitions have been filed against President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s ‘unconstitutional’ dissolution move at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers as per Article 76 (7) of the constitution.
