KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana has scheduled nine benches for Wednesday.

Of the nine benches, seven are joint benches while the remaining two are single benches. However, he has not assigned any bench for himself.

Agitating lawyers have been boycotting the benches scheduled by CJ Rana. They have been hearing habeas corpus cases. Nepal Bar Association on Tuesday had announced to continue with sit-in protests till November 19.

The justices have maintained that they won’t hear the cases scheduled by CJ Rana. SC justices, however, have agreed to hear cases if the lottery system is implemented to schedule cases.
