Speaking at the Reporters Club Nepal in the capital, Gurung charged the four major political parties with having begun a autocratic system like the Panchayat regime and said his party will take to the streets in defiance of such rule. [break]
He also described the present Baburam Bhattarai government as the most corrupt government in the country’s history and said his party is ready to adopt any other ways to bring down this government.
Speaking at the same occasion, UCPN (Maoist) leader Shakti Basnet said the clearance of constitutional hurdles to pave way for a CJ-led government and the exit of the current government will take place at the same time.
He also made it clear that there are no differences of opinion within the party regarding vesting the judiciary head with executive powers and said an understanding has already been reached among the parties to form a CJ-headed election government by March 7.
