KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The Ministry of General Administration has begun the process to transfer civil servants. Deputy Spokesperson at the Ministry, Nanda Raj Gyawali, said the Ministry had begun the process after the meeting of the Council of the Ministers on Thursday amended the regulations regarding this.

He added that the Ministry was likely to complete the transfer by upcoming Friday. We were studying applications received by the Ministry seeking transfers.

The implementation of the civil service transfer calendar was delayed by a month due to the recent government change and the Cabinet decision approved the new calendar through amendments.

As per the revised calendar, inter-ministerial transfer shall be carried out by mid September, and the ministry-level and departmental-level transfer shall be completed by October 1 and mid-October, respectively, according to Gyawali.

About 3,200 civil servants from across the country have filed the applications for the transfer this fiscal year. RSS
