KATHMANDU, July 17: The agitating civil servants have continued with their protests program since Friday morning. They have obstructed the movement in the main gate of Singha Durbar demanding salary hike.

The six trade union representatives were scheduled to meet the government officials for further talks at 1 p.m. on Friday. The talks between the government and the civil servants on Thursday had ended inconclusively although the government has agreed in principle to hike the salary and so necessary homework for it.

"We are preparing for the talks in the afternoon, but the protest program is on," Bhawani Thani, President of Nepal Government Employees´ Association, said.
