Civil servants announce more protests

KATHMANDU, June 17: Nepal Government Employees´ Organization, which halted work in government offices across the country from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, has announced further protests against the arrest of civil servants from the Ministry of General Administration on Wednesday.



Issuing a press statement, the civil servants´ organization announced civil servants will boycott offices across the country from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday as well.



The organization started agitation from Thursday after its supporters were arrested from the ministry while on their way to submit a memorandum to General Administration Minister Rabindra Shrestha.
