Civil Mall hosts hungama at 4th floor

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: In a bid to attract more customers, Civil Mall has come up with an exciting scheme called ´4th Floor Hungama´ under which customers will get free shopping vouchers, free tickets for QFX Cinema Hall and Bal Sansar, and free coupons for coffee at Java.



According to Nishant Shrestha, head of marketing and communication at the Civil Mall, the scheme has been a brain child of the shop owners of the 4th floor and will continue for six months. [break]



As part of the scheme, customers will get a coupon on every purchase worth Rs 1,000. Through the coupon they can win Rs 10,000 and Bal Sansar ticket every week, free Himalayan Java Coffee on every third purchase, and free parking coupon on the purchase of goods worth Rs 1,000.



“Shop owners of the fourth floor decided to catch customers´ attention as people normally shop on ground and first floors or directly go to the top floor to watch movies,” said Sagar Tamang, a sales attendant at Wardrobe.



Tamang informed that with the beginning of the scheme, the sales at the store have gone up by almost 20 percent.



Mira Gurung, proprietor of Comfort Zone, said, “We have brought in the scheme to divert the flow of customers to the 4th floor but we are yet to see the effectiveness of the scheme as many people are perhaps not aware of the scheme,” said Gurung.



The fourth floor of the Civil Mall 24 shops running out of total 25 shops. Customers can buy bags, shoes, men´s and women´s wear, sun glasses, among other lifestyle products.



Besides the hungama scheme, the mall will hold a ´Winter Fest´ from next week that will continue till the Valentine´s Day. Shrestha informed that the mall will offer many promotional schemes during the fest like up to 40 percent discount on winter wear, gift hampers, cash prize up to Rs 20,000, free coffee and tea, among others.



To top it all, the mall will also organize entertainment programs ranging from live music performance to fun-filled activities during the fest.



Civil Mall has 112 shops and is believed to be the biggest shopping mall in town till date. Levi´s, Signature, Jeans West, Lotto, Bonica, Bonita are some of the exclusive international brands available at the mall.
