‘Cinema Ghar Gold’ OTT platform launched

The number of viewers watching movies on Over The Top (OTT) platform is increasing in the global market due to the pandemic. However, the OTT platform has not been that popular in the Nepali film fraternity.

The number of viewers watching movies on Over The Top (OTT) platform is increasing in the global market due to the pandemic. However, the OTT platform has not been that popular in the Nepali film fraternity.

Nevertheless, the ‘Cinemaghar App’, which was considered successful in introducing OTT in Nepal in 2016, has launched its updated version, ‘Cinema Ghar Gold’ on Friday.

The app offers movies, web series, stand-up comedies and short movies, whose services can be enjoyed after a payment of Rs 500 per year as per Khagendra Lamichhane, chief of the app.


A press conference in Kathmandu was organized to launch the app. One can watch 'Damaru Ko Dandibiyo', 'Kohalpur Express', ‘Blind Rocks’, ‘Mangalam’ and more movies in it.
