KATHMANDU, Feb 29: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is preparing to register a case related to the Telecommunication Traffic Monitoring and Fraud Control System (TERAMOCS) in the Special Court soon. At Tuesday's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives, Prem Kumar Rai, chief commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), stated that the TERAMOCS case would be resolved soon.
Rai informed the committee that the process of obtaining statements from individuals involved in the case has been completed and the anti-graft body will now file a case.
The CIAA initiated an investigation into this case, especially after the Parliamentary Committee highlighted irregularities in the plan of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority to procure and implement TERAMOCS.
