Based on its investigation, the CIAA moved the Special Court against the former top official of the BPKIHS in accordance with the anti-corruption laws.

Stating that Das has been found to have kept the amassed property in the name of his spouse Punam, the CIAA has made her as one of the defendants in its charge-sheet. In its charge-sheet, the CIAA has also demanded that Das’ property equivalent to the same amount that he amassed through illegal means be confiscated.
