KATHMANDU, June 8: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has decided to file corruption cases against 18 people, including Sangita Pahadi, Managing Director (MD) of Nepal Telecom.
The government had appointed Pahadi as the MD of Nepal Telecom in mid-September last year.

The CIAA has filed a case on the conclusion of corruption in the process of extending the contract for the maintenance of Nepal Telecom’s billing system.
Other defendants include Sunil Paudel, Pratibha Shrestha, Hema Prabha Ram Pratap Karna, Nawal Chaudhary, among others. In this case, a compensation claim of Rs 334.8 million has been made.
