CIAA chief urges people to trust in him

POKHARA: Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lok Man Singh Karki has said he would be called a traitor if he failed to root out corruption.



Karki said that he was ready to make all kinds of sacrifices to fulfill his responsibility as the chief of anti-graft body. “I have received this challenging responsibility and I would make any sacrifice to fulfill this responsibility,” he said during a meeting with the representatives of civil society in Kathmandu. While urging the people to trust in him, Karki said, “Those who created controversy over my appointment as the CIAA chief should understand that I have good intentions.”
