KATHMANDU, March 20: Chairman of Rastriya Janamorcha Chitra Bahadur KC has said that democracy and the republic are in danger as the prime minister takes a vote of confidence every two months and engages in the game of breaking and forming the government.
While discussing a proposal presented by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for a vote of confidence, KC said that no party can get a clear majority according to our election system. Therefore, most of the time is spent in the game of forming and destroying the government.
"We formed the government two months ago, there were similar debates and discussions at that time," said KC, "All the parties in the parliament supported the prime minister at that time, and now it's another game within two months.”
He said that due to the electoral system, we are unable to run and save the parliamentary system.
KC said that the attention of the parties should be focused on improving the economy, controlling inflation and solving the problems of the people. Saying that the prices have increased rapidly in the country, he added, “People like us should be discussing at what price the customers are buying daily essentials and what is the condition of the general public.”
