KATHMANDU, Nov 12: The government has decided to bear all treatment costs of COVID-19 infected chairman of Rastriya Jana Morcha, Chitra Bahadur KC.


A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday took a decision to this effect, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel told Republica over the phone.

Chairman KC, who had also served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation in the KP Oli-led Cabinet in 2015, was diagnosed with the coronavirus disease on Tuesday.


KC has been receiving medical treatment at the isolation ward of the Kathmandu-based Mediciti Hospital. According to his family members, his health condition is critical as he is also suffering from pneumonia.
