According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, Minister Cai, is scheduled to pay courtesy call to President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, on Friday.[break]
Chinese Minister Cai would also meet Minister for Foreign and Home Affairs, Madhav Prasad Ghimire and Minister for Information and Communications, Madhav Paudel, separately.
It is learnt that Chinese Minister Cai would hold discussions with Ministers, Ghimire and Paudel, on new development, maximum use of information and communications and mutual benefit for the bilateral interests in the information and communication sector.
Chinese Minister Cai would also meet and hold talks with the officials of Nepal Television (NTV), and Gorkhapatra Corporation. He would also inspect the NTV Plus Transmission Building built by Government of China and handed over to NTV in 2000, General Manager of NTV, Laxman Humagain informed.
"We will appeal to the Government of China to upgrade the NTV Plus´s studio and equipments," said GM Humagain. China had constructed the building of the NTV Plus at a cost of Rs. 558 million.
