HUMLA, Sept 13: A Chinese team has arrived at Simikot, the district headquarters, to hold talks on range of issues like cross-border illegal activities, conservation of highland pastures, and the pilgrimage made by Hindus and Buddhists to Kailash Mansarovar.
A five member delegation led by China's Purang County Secretary Gao Bogau reached Simikot at 11 am on Sunday for talks, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Krishna Ghimire.
The talks, which had not been held in the last three years, is being held in Nepal for the first time. Earlier, the talks used to take place in China.

Other members on Chinese delegation included Chief District Officer of Purang Geq Ingmin, immigration chief Wang Scouchcng, Police chief Bian Ba, and administration chief Laba.
Nepali delegation, led by CDO Ghimire, included Local Development Officer (LDO) Rabi Bhattarai, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Trilok Bahadur Chand, and Assistant CDO Dharma Raj Neupane.
