Visiting Shaanix Province Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Zmnao Zxemgyong today made the request during a meeting with Chairman Dahal.
On the occasion, Chairman Dahal said that initiatives were underway to promulgate the new constitution by forging a consensus among the major political parties and also expressed belief that consensus would be forged within few days.
The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman said that they have been taking initiatives to take the constitution writing process ahead in a productive manner as well as to address the demands of all classes, according to Standing Committee member of the UCPN (Maoist), Agni Prasad Sapkota.
Dahal further said that problem has surfaced after the ruling parties were not ready to take the constitution writing process ahead on the basis of previous agreements.
Leader Sapkota said that the Chinese side urged Dahal to play leading role in constitution writing process.
Chairman Dahal on the occasion also reiterated Nepal's one-China Policy. RSS
