DANG, July 18: Chairperson of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Bhim Bahadur Sarki, thrashed a nine-year boy, Bharat Gharti, on Tuesday night.
Chair Sarki had beaten Gharti of Gogli, Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, saying Gharti picked the flower from a plant in front of his house. Raimata Gharti, mother of the child, said that among the children playing in front of Sarki’s house, her son was beaten on the charge of plucking flower.
The child has sustained injuries on his left ear and stomach. He also has a blue mark on the left cheek and is receiving treatment at Nayabazaar-based ENT and Dental Care Centre. Although there is no serious problem in the child's ear, it would be known only after a week whether or not he has any problems in the eardrum, said Dr Bikram Budhathoki.
The child has been admitted to the hospital this morning after he complained of severe ear pain whole night, said Raimata. The chair Sarki confessed that he slapped the child on his head and would bear the treatment expenditure.
