KATHMANDU, Feb 1: The Social Service, Environment and Technology Council (SET) of St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar is organizing the 4th SET Cycle Rally on February 4. The rally is being organized to raise money to support surgery of Rithwik Lama Tamang, a child who lost his hearing abilities due to acute meningitis.
The rally will begin from St. Xavier’s College and it will cover all three districts inside the Valley with a route length of 25 kilometers. Around 300 participants have already registered for the event.
“This year’s cycle rally features a route that is sure to impress even the most experienced cyclists who feel like a rally is a dull event,” said Vijay Toppo S.J., the Vice-Principal of St. Xavier’s College. The rally will be guided with the help of traffic police and Kathmandu Cycle City.
The club has been organizing the annual SET Exhibition for the past 21 years as a platform for youths to present their creative ideas to the general public.
