Bird flu virus H1N5 was detected in fowls of the poultry farms of Pancharam Kisi of Sipadol-9 and Balram Kisi of Nakhel-2.
But they buried chickens without giving prior information to the authorities concerned. The locals claimed that over 2,000 chickens have died in these two poultry farms in a week and they were buried after constructing a ditch by an excavator at Ganga Jamuna Brick Kiln at Nakhel VDC-2 on Friday night.
The Sipadol and Nakhel folks accused the Kisi brothers of supplying bird flu-infected chickens to Bhaktapur and Kathmandu-based meat shops and cold stores.
