Chaudhary’s innings was reminiscent of his last encounter with MCC in 2003 when he had also hit a century against the touring side.
Keith Newell (54) was the pick of MCC’s batsmen as he helped his team survive ths allotted 50 overs to post a respectable 160/8. It took CAN just 30.4 overs to chase down the score with a century coming of Dipendra Chaudhary’s bat.
MCC skipper Min Patel (1) was out to Binod Das when the score was just two. No 2 Jason Flinch and Keith Newell tried to hold the innings together thereafter. But Flinch(10) was out caught behind the wicket off pacer Paras Khadka. Newell anchored the innings and was out in the 46th over while trying to up the scoring rate.He was caught by Sunam Gautam off left arm spinner Shakti Gauchan. No other batsman with the exception of No 8 Kieth Parsons, who scored a defiant 39, could reach double figures for MCC.
Captain Binod Das took three wickets while Basanta Regmi and Paras Khadka bagged a couple each.
CAN’s opener Paresh Lohani continued his poor run with the bat and was out in the third over when the team’s score was 18. However, his partner Dipendra Chaudhary took the attack to the MCC bowlers and scored fifty in just 53 balls.

CAN’s innings. Dipendra raced to his 100 in the 30th over when he hit former England Test off spinner Min Patel for four through the square leg boundary. It took him two more balls to finish the match with a six over long off.
