KATHMANDU, May 30: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against Shashi Bhushan Kumar Yadav, a senior inspector working at the Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology, Birgunj.
The charge sheet filed at the Special Court, Kathmandu, accuses Yadav of misusing his power and authority for amassing wealth illegally.
The charge sheet filed by the CIAA on Tuesday mentions that Shashi Bhushan Kumar Yadav has been in public service from May 21, 1989 to 2023, and it appears that he has illegally acquired more than Rs 40.47 million. The anti-graft body has requested the court to recover the equivalent amount that has been accused of amassing illegally, said CIAA spokesperson Bhola Dahal.
