Regmi took the oath in line with the provision in the Nepal Scouts Act which states that the Executive Head of the State is the Chief Patron of the Nepal Scouts.[break]
Addressing the ceremony organised by Nepal Scouts, Chairman Regmi underlined the need of expanding scouts education as it produces disciplined youths with good character and high moral standards.
"As the Chief Patron of Nepal Scouts, I will extend the required support for its expansion and promotion," he said.
Chief Commissioner of Nepal Scouts, Shreeram Lamichhane, briefed about the scout´s activities on the occasion.
Chief Scout and Minister for Youth and Sports, Ram Kumar Shrestha, was also present at the function.
