Chairman Regmi leaves for home district Palpa

PALPA, Sept 6: Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi has left for his home district Palpa today. This is his first visit to his home district following his appointment as the chairperson to the Interim Election Council. It is learnt that he will address an anniversary of a locally renowned school Janata Higer Secondary School there in Palpa.



According to DSP Thaneshwor Regmi of Palpa District, Regmi is scheduled to arrive at Palpa at 9 pm. “Regmi will also visit his ancestral place Pokharathok VDC where he will observe the school where he had taught and pay visit to his relatives” said a local Jhapendra Gahire talking to Republica. [break]



After visiting his relatives in his birth place, Regmi will take part at a school function and then he will participate at a meeting with the district level political parties, civil societies,  businessmen and local journalists according to Palpa Chief District Officer Shiva Raj Joshi.



Home Minister Madhav Ghimire who arrived here in his home district Palpa yesterday evening will return to the Capital along with Chairman Regmi, it is learnt.
