As some of his colleagues told me, Chairman Oli does not sleep until 12:01 AM His energy and passion are unique. The meeting with Oli at his residence in Balkot, which was scheduled for 6PM yesterday, lasted for two and a half hours.
The upcoming elections, the country's politics and geopolitics, foreign interest and interference, the need and irrelevance of the monarchy, his political journey, prison life and the pain of Golghar, the difficulties he faced before passing the new political map of Nepal and a number of other topics were discussed.
Chairperson Oli, who could speak fluently on all subjects, said to me "You came from playing chess and are now on the basketball court, where there is all the trickery. However, you should not panic."
