KATHMANDU, Nov 11: CG Motors, the authorized distributor of the automobile brand Xpeng, officially inaugurated its flagship showroom at Thapathali, Kathmandu on Saturday. The event was attended by the delegates from the Embassy of China in Kathmandu as well as from the Xpeng.
According to a press statement issued by the company, Vice Chairman and President of Xpeng Motors – Dr Brian Gu delivered his keynote speech and introduced the Xpeng brand to the media. Chaudhary Group’s Managing Director –Nirvana Chaudhary – spoke about the achievements of CG Motors during the program and outlined the future plans.
The statement reads, “This flagship showroom opening and launch of G6 “Ultra Smart Coupe SUV” marks the entry of Xpeng into the Nepal market with the brand vision of “Leading the Future of AI Mobility”. Xpeng has brought highly advanced AI-integrated vehicles in the global markets and extended its globalization footprint into more than 30 global countries already. The world automotive leader Volkswagen has also become the strategic partner of Xpeng thanks to Xpeng’s advanced innovative technology.”
Tata Motors organizes Global Service Camp
During the inauguration, CGM handed over 25 units of G6 to its first batch of customers.
The G6 is rated with top 5 Star E-Ncap as the most rigorous safety test in the world. G6 also brings advanced autonomous driving technology, SEPA 2.0 structure, frequent OTA updates, XOS operating system, and 800V super-fast charging.
Its motor power / torque are 190 kW power and 440 Nm respectively and features a 66 kwh battery pack with a range of 435 km. Additional features include 50:50 weight distribution in the front and rear axles for overall sporty performance, an aluminum die-cast body, and 9-dimension battery safety, which makes the G6 stand out, according to the statement.
Available through over 20 sales and service outlets nationwide, Xpeng has become the latest addition to CG Motors' brand lineup. CG Motors aims to expand its service network to 40 locations by the end of the year and plans to install 200 new charging points, supplementing the existing network of more than 244 DC fast-charging stations, according to the company’s statement.
