The government has allocated Rs 30 million for the construction work while another Rs 9.7 million will be funded by CAN itself.[break]
CAN President Pandey said that the construction will be completed by October or early November. "This was the first support for cricket from the government side and we hope for further support," said Pandey.
The two-storey pavilion building will have a store room, players´ change-room, medical room, umpires seating area, CAN operation office, VIP seating area, media room, media center and live commentary room.
Minister for Youth and Sports Hit Bahadur Tamang said that the Mulpani Ground could also help in the development of sports tourism.
On the occassion, Tamang also handed over the ACC Level I Umpire Educator certificate to Buddhi Bahadur Pradhan and Vinaya Kumar Jha, and the ACC Level II Coach certificate to Jagat Tamat, Paresh Lohani and Binod Das.
