KATHMANDU, Sept 7: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has started discussions after a rape complaint was filed against the captain of the national team, Sandeep Lamichhane. Discussions are underway in CAN on whether to keep him in the team or suspend him.
After being accused of raping a minor, it is seen that he will face problems from all sides until the case is settled. It is said that he will have to lose the captaincy of the Nepali cricket team and international leagues.
A complaint of alleged rape was filed against Lamichhane on Tuesday evening at the Metropolitan Police Circle Gaushala.
