KATHMANDU, May 15: With the acquittal of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane in the rape case, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has lifted the suspension imposed on him.
CAN announced through its official Facebook page on Wednesday that the suspension of Sandeep Lamichhane from all domestic and international cricket activities has been lifted.
"According to the decision of the honorable Patan High Court dated May 15, 2024, we inform you that the suspension of Sandeep Lamichhane from all domestic and international cricket activities has been lifted as the verdict has cleared Nepali National Cricket Team player Sandeep of the rape charges," the statement issued by CAN reads.
