KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has contributed Rs 2 million in the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to assist the earthquake-affected people in Jajarkot.
CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand and Secretary Paras Khadka handed over a cheque of the said amount to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today.
CAN had announced that 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the final match between Nepal and Oman under the Asia Qualifiers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be made available to the earthquake victims of Jajarkot. According to CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, the raised amount of Rs 2 million has been contributed accordingly.
