Aanbuhang, who is also the central committee member of Nepal´s largest political party the UCPN (Maoist), added that he is a politician and wouldn´t stay long with CAN and let it affect his political career. “My candidacy to CAN election is not confirmed yet,” he said.
When asked about his capacity to run a cricket body without prior knowledge of the game, Aanbuhang said that one does not need a PhD in sports to run administration.
“I have a team which consists of people who are very experienced in cricket, and as a team we would be successful,” he said, reiterating that he has joined CAN with a mandate for two months. The president also added that there would be representation from districts in the soon to be held election.
Vice-president TB Shah said that the district committees would not be dissolved. “The representatives nominated by the present district committees will participate in the general assembly,” Shah said. Shah also added that all 37 districts that play national tournament would participate in the general assembly and election.

During the program, CAN also shared the decisions of the board meeting and briefed about the meeting with ACC Events Manager Sultan Rana and ACC Development Officer Rumesh Ratnayake held on Tuesday regarding the ACC Twenty20 Cup.
