KATHMANDU, March 14: The final list of candidates for the Free Students' Union (FSU) elections to be held at Tribhuvan University (TU) has been published on Monday.
With the publication of the final list yesterday, the candidates will now be able to campaign for the election. According to Pashupati Adhikari, director of the Student Welfare and Sports Directorate, the candidates will be allowed to campaign from today till 12 midnight on March 16. It is mentioned in the code of conduct of the FSU election that no poster poster can be put up for campaigning.

Similarly, in the code of conduct, it is mentioned that no tool, flex and any kind of poster related to election can be pasted. FSU elections have been stalled due to admission disputes in some campuses. Adhikari said that he has instructed the heads of the concerned campuses to resolve the admission dispute and start the election process.
The president, secretary, treasurer and 50% of the members of FSU will be elected through the direct election system and the vice president, joint secretary and 50% of the members will be elected through the proportional election system. Voting for FSU elections is scheduled for March 19 from 8 AM to 4 PM.
