KATHMANDU, Jan 14: A few cable service operators have suspended the transmission of Image Channel.

Mahendra Bista, chief of the new department of the channel, said,” Some cable operators have halted the broadcast of our channel since 5 pm Sunday. We don’t know any clear reason for that.” [break]

“No matter who is behind stopping the transmission, this act is against people’s right to information as guaranteed in the constitution,” he added.

It is said the cable operators halted the broadcast of the TV channel following pressure over anti-government news aired by it.
