JHAPA, March 18: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPPN) Kamal Thapa has said his party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party would merge once certain issues are settled through talks after the necessary homework.

Speaking at a press meet organized by the Jhapa chapter of the RPPN, Chairman Thapa said his party and the RPP have realized the need of a nationalist force and have forwarded the party unity process for the same. But they need to complete political ground work on certain issues they have differing voice. The two parties have differing opinions regarding the Constitutional Monarchy, Sanatana Hindu state, national integrity and Federal Democratic Republic, so, they will be put back and the party unification process would be forwarded.

Chairman Thapa said the current political impasse in the Constitution writing process was due to the arrogant stances put forth by the ruling parties and the 30-party alliance led by the Unified CPN (Maoist).

Thapa was of the view that the current impasse in the Constituent Assembly should be settled through all-party-talks. RSS
