Talking to local media persons briefly at his home village Sapahi of Dhanusha today, the President said the nation would see peace, and people´s rights will be guaranteed only after the drafting of a new constitution.[break]
"The government should create atmosphere to involve all the political parties in the election. The government should hold talks with the political parties opposing the election," he said, adding that he could play only a role of facilitator to that end.
The President said that there was no alternative to the election and holding the election with the participation of all the political parties was the need of the hour.
President Dr Yadav arrived here in course of his four-day stay in his village. He reached his home situated at Sapahi VDC-9 on foot from Sapahi Chowk. The locals welcomed the President with vermillion, bouquets and music. He will stay here until April 25.
During his stay at Sapahi, the President will meet the common people. The President landed at the Army Camp based in Mahendranagar on a Nepal Army helicopter. His flight was delayed by around five hours due to adverse weather in the capital.
With the arrival of the President, security of Sapahi has been beefed-up. A large number of security personnel have been deputed for the security of the head-of-the-state.
Meanwhile, issuing a press statement, Under Secretary at the Office of the President, Hari Prasad Gyawali said the President will remain in his home for a few days.
