KATHMANDU, Sept 22: A meeting of Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) under the Legislature- Parliament has approved the appointment of Madhuwan Prasad Poudel as Nepal´s Ambassador to Kuwait on Tuesday.

The Committee has decided to send his name to the concerned body for necessary procedure after majority of the committee members okayed the appointment.

Just after the beginning of the meeting, Brijesh Kumar Gupta of Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party boycotted the meeting citing the names proposed by the Foreign Ministry for ambassadors to different countries are not completely ´inclusive´ and ´proportional´.

The meeting was chaired by Committee Chairman Kul Bahadur Gurung. Chief Whip of Nepali Congress Laxman Prasad Ghimire and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Atma Ram Prasad Saha also were also present in the meeting, said PHSC.
