KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the buying and selling shares of Ncell is not natural. He suspected that there was a disturbance somewhere in it.
PM Dahal said this in the meeting of the State Affairs Committee.
Axiata’s Ncell exit smacks of intention to evade capital gains...
He said that when he was in Dubai for the climate conference, he heard about the purchase and sale of Ncell’s shares and upon his return to the country, he issued instructions to the Ministry of Communications and regulatory bodies.
PM Dahal said that he has formed an investigation committee because he thinks there is something wrong with Ncell’s share sale.
“In this case, if it is found that someone has acted against the law, which is not easy for the government, and that’s why I issued a directive at the very beginning. Hence, we had to issue the directive because it is seen that its buying and selling is not easy or natural," he said, “An inquiry committee has been formed because it is felt that there is something wrong with it.”
